SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENTALLY
DISABLED
Our
in-home respite program is designed to provide families with capable
temporary relief from the on-going responsibility of caring for
a person with developmental disabilities.
Cambrian's respite caregivers are well trained
and duly experienced. Each caregiver is required to have the following,
at a minimum:
- Verifiable work references
- Previous caregiving experience
- Clear all criminal background checks
- Completion of our twenty (20) hour respite
training course
- CPR/First Aid Certification
All caregivers are bonded and insured. Cambrian
is responsible for all state and federal taxes.
When in partnership with the local Regional
Centers, the program provides a monthly authorization of hours for
respite in the home.
Scheduling is done to meet the family and client’s
needs. These needs may include personal care, fun play times/leisure
activities, behavior management and other diagnosis specific activities.
Cambrian caregivers wear photo ID tags for your security and their
proper identification.
Many of our caregivers are bi- or multi-lingual.
By matching client and caregiver culturally, a bond of trust develops
which helps the client and family communicate with ease. Cambrian
also has a unique "tell a friend" program
that may suit your needs. Be sure to ask when you call for services. |
